Our annual free community concert at the Nantucket Atheneum will feature highlights from the season’s repertoire including works by Mahler and Hindemith with Nantucket soprano Greta Feeney. Next to this, we pair several works of the late baroque era by François Couperin, Georg Telemann, and C.P.E. Bach with canzoni by late renaissance composer Girolamo Frescobaldi. This concert will be performed on a beautiful recreation of a Flemish harpsichord by David Sutherland on generous loan from Mollie Glazer.
